By registering for an account, subscribing to a plan, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Platform, you accept these Terms in full. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email and/or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version is always available at deets.in/terms.
2. Important Disclaimer — AI-Generated Content
DEETS USES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO GENERATE CONTENT INCLUDING ANSWERS, SUMMARIES, NOTES, MIND MAPS, STUDY PACKAGES, INTERVIEW RESPONSES, AND ANALYSES. BY USING THE PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS OF ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT:
(a) AI-generated content may contain factual inaccuracies, errors, and mistakes. (b) AI-generated content may be incomplete or lack necessary depth. (c) AI-generated content may be outdated and may not reflect the latest UPSC notifications, government policies, legislative amendments, Supreme Court judgments, constitutional developments, international affairs, or changes in examination patterns and syllabi. (d) AI-generated content may contain hallucinations — i.e., plausible-sounding but entirely fabricated information, including fictitious citations, case names, statistics, or policy references. (e) AI-generated answers are educational interpretations only and are NOT official UPSC answers, model answers, or answers endorsed by any examination authority.
YOU MUST INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ALL IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE RELYING ON IT FOR EXAMINATION PREPARATION OR ANY OTHER PURPOSE. Deets is an educational assistance tool and is NOT a substitute for professional academic guidance, official UPSC study materials, standard textbooks, coaching institutions, or the advice of qualified educators. No guarantee is made that AI-generated content is correct, complete, current, or suitable for examination use.
DEETS DOES NOT GUARANTEE EXAMINATION SUCCESS, SELECTION, RANK, MARKS, OR ANY OUTCOME IN ANY COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION. Academic performance depends on individual effort, preparation, and numerous factors beyond the Platform's control.
3. Competitive Examination Disclaimer
Deets is an independent educational technology platform. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), State Public Service Commissions, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the National Testing Agency (NTA), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and all other examination authorities and regulators referenced on the Platform are entirely independent governmental and regulatory bodies.
Deets is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with UPSC, NTA, NMC, or any other examination authority or regulator. Deets does not represent any examination authority and has no authority to make statements on behalf of any such authority.
All trademarks, service marks, examination names, and official designations (including "UPSC", "IAS", "IPS", "IFS", "Civil Services Examination", "UPSC CSE", "UPSC Prelims", "UPSC Mains", "NEET", "NEET-UG", and similar terms) belong to their respective owners and are used on the Platform solely for informational and educational reference purposes.
Previous Year Questions (PYQs) displayed on the Platform are official examination questions that are in the public domain. Deets claims no ownership over original examination questions. AI-generated answers to PYQs are Deets' independent educational interpretations only.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
The Platform is available to individuals who are at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent. Users represent and warrant that they meet the applicable age requirement or have obtained the required consent.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to keep that information updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@deets.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that: provide false or misleading information; violate these Terms; engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity; abuse the credit system, referral system, or any promotional offers; circumvent technical measures; or remain inactive for more than 24 consecutive months.
5. Deets AI — Specific Terms and Limitations
Deets AI provides AI-generated answers, explanations, summaries, study materials, and educational content related to UPSC and competitive examination preparation. Your use of Deets AI is subject to the following specific terms in addition to the general Terms.
LIMITATIONS YOU MUST UNDERSTAND: (a) Deets AI may produce hallucinated content — information that appears factual but is entirely fabricated. This includes fictitious legislation, court judgments, statistics, historical events, and citations. (b) Deets AI's training data has a knowledge cutoff date and it may not reflect recent developments in law, policy, current affairs, government schemes, or examination patterns. (c) Answers may be incomplete, lack relevant nuance, or reflect a simplified understanding of complex topics. (d) AI-generated answers to PYQ-style questions are educational interpretations only — they do not represent official answer keys, model answers, or marking scheme responses. (e) AI-generated interview responses are simulations for practice purposes only and are not indicative of actual interview board preferences or evaluation criteria.
USER RESPONSIBILITY: You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content. You must cross-reference important facts with standard textbooks (NCERT, Laxmikant, Bipin Chandra, etc.), official government sources, and reputable current affairs publications before relying on any AI-generated information in your examination preparation.
CREDIT CONSUMPTION: Use of Deets AI features deducts credits from your account balance as specified in the Credit System (Clause 9). Credits consumed for AI generation are non-refundable unless the generation fails due to a technical error on Deets' systems.
CONTENT OWNERSHIP: AI-generated content created by the Platform belongs to Deets Technologies Private Limited. You are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to use AI-generated content for your own study purposes only. You may not resell, republish, or commercially redistribute AI-generated content.
6. Deets Pulse — Current Affairs and News Aggregation
Deets Pulse aggregates, summarises, and analyses current affairs content relevant to UPSC and competitive examination preparation. Content on Deets Pulse may be sourced from publicly available news articles, press releases, official government notifications, and other publicly accessible sources, with additional AI-generated analysis and exam-relevance scoring.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS: (a) News summaries on Deets Pulse may be generated automatically by AI and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or mischaracterisations of source material. (b) AI-generated analyses and exam-relevance scores are Deets' independent editorial assessments and are not authoritative or guaranteed to be accurate. (c) Trend detection and topic categorisation are automated processes that may contain classification errors. (d) Current affairs content is time-sensitive — a news item or summary may be outdated by the time you read it.
YOU MUST VERIFY important current affairs developments from official government sources (including pib.gov.in, mea.gov.in, and relevant ministry websites), official UPSC notifications, and reputable news publications before relying on Deets Pulse summaries in your preparation.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT: News articles and source material referenced or summarised on Deets Pulse remain the intellectual property of their respective publishers and copyright holders. Deets does not claim ownership over third-party source content. Any excerpts or summaries are provided for educational reference and exam preparation purposes only. If you are a content owner and believe your content has been used improperly, please contact legal@deets.in.
Exam relevance scores, priority ratings, and "likely to appear" classifications are Deets' own editorial judgments based on historical patterns and AI analysis. They are informational only and do not constitute any guarantee or prediction of examination content.
7. NCERT Learning System — Intellectual Property Notice
The NCERT Learning System on the Platform provides educational explanations, summaries, chapter breakdowns, concept maps, and UPSC-focused analyses derived from NCERT textbooks and other standard educational materials.
IMPORTANT: NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) textbooks and their content are the intellectual property of NCERT and the Government of India. Deets does NOT claim ownership over NCERT textbook content, original NCERT text, or NCERT-produced materials.
The NCERT Learning System provides: (a) original AI-generated explanations and simplifications of concepts covered in NCERT textbooks — these explanations are Deets' original content; (b) UPSC-relevance analyses and exam-focused annotations — these are Deets' original editorial work; (c) practice questions and study notes based on NCERT concepts — these are Deets' original content.
Deets does not reproduce verbatim NCERT textbook text beyond fair use for educational commentary and reference. Where NCERT content is referenced, it is attributed appropriately. Users who wish to access authoritative NCERT content should refer directly to NCERT's official website (ncert.nic.in).
Users may not use the NCERT Learning System to infringe the intellectual property rights of NCERT or any third party.
8. PYQ Intelligence Platform
The PYQ (Previous Year Questions) Intelligence Platform provides access to a database of previous year questions from UPSC and other competitive examinations, along with AI-generated answers, topic tagging, difficulty scoring, repeat probability analysis, and study recommendations.
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: Previous Year Questions are official examination questions that are in the public domain. Deets does NOT claim ownership over the original question text of any official examination. AI-generated answers, analyses, topic classifications, and difficulty/probability scores are Deets' original content.
CRITICAL DISCLAIMERS FOR PYQ ANSWERS: (a) AI-generated answers to PYQs are educational interpretations ONLY. They are not official answer keys, model answers, or examiners' answers. (b) Answers may be factually incorrect, incomplete, or may not align with current marking scheme expectations. (c) Topic classifications and difficulty scores are automated assessments and may contain errors. (d) Repeat probability and "likely to appear" scores are statistical models based on historical data — they are informational and do not guarantee that any topic or question will appear in future examinations.
Study packages generated from PYQ analysis are personalised recommendations only. They do not guarantee examination success or improved performance. Users must supplement PYQ practice with comprehensive syllabus coverage.
OCR EXTRACTION: Questions extracted from PDF documents using OCR technology may contain recognition errors. Users should verify OCR-extracted text against original source documents before relying on it.
9. Credit System
Deets operates a credit-based system for AI-powered features. Credits are a platform currency that allow you to use AI generation features, generate answers, create study packages, export PDFs, and access other credit-gated features.
CREDIT TYPES: (a) Subscription Credits — credits allocated monthly with your subscription plan; they expire at the end of each monthly billing cycle and do not roll over unless specifically stated in your plan description. (b) Purchased Credits — credits purchased separately that may have a different expiry policy as stated at the time of purchase. (c) Bonus Credits — promotional or referral credits that expire as specified when awarded.
CREDIT DEDUCTIONS: Credits are deducted when you initiate an AI generation or other credit-gated action. Credits are typically deducted at the start of the operation. If a generation fails due to a technical error on Deets' systems (and produces no usable output), the deducted credits will be restored within 48 hours. Credits are NOT restored if: (a) the generation completes but you are dissatisfied with the quality; (b) the failure is due to your input (e.g., unsupported file format, incomplete question, prohibited content); or (c) you cancel the operation mid-way.
CREDIT EXPIRY: Subscription credits expire at the end of the monthly billing cycle in which they were allocated. Unused subscription credits are not carried over to the next cycle. Purchased credit expiry terms are as specified at the time of purchase.
CREDIT REFUNDS: Credits are non-refundable for cash or monetary value except as explicitly provided in the Refund Policy. Credits represent access to platform features and have no monetary value outside the Platform.
ABUSE PREVENTION: Deets reserves the right to limit, suspend, or revoke credits if it reasonably suspects: (a) account abuse or sharing of a single account across multiple users; (b) automated or scripted use of credit-gated features; (c) circumvention of rate limits; (d) use of the Platform for commercial content generation or resale; (e) any other activity that constitutes platform misuse. Rate limiting may be applied to prevent system overload and ensure fair access for all users.
10. Subscription Plans and Billing
Deets offers subscription plans ("Plans") that provide access to premium features and monthly credit allocations. Plan details, features, and pricing are displayed at deets.in/pricing and are subject to change in accordance with this clause.
SUBSCRIPTION TYPES: Monthly Plans are billed every 30 days from the subscription start date. Annual Plans are billed once upfront for 12 months of access and typically offer a discounted rate compared to monthly billing.
AUTO-RENEWAL: All subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise Deets and its payment processor (Razorpay) to charge your payment method at the applicable renewal price. You will receive a reminder notification at least 7 days before an annual plan auto-renews.
CANCELLATION: You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing your account settings or by contacting support@deets.in. Upon cancellation: (a) Your subscription access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. (b) You will not be charged for the next billing period. (c) No partial refunds are issued for unused days in the current billing period unless specified in the Refund Policy.
UPGRADES AND DOWNGRADES: You may upgrade your plan at any time; the new plan takes effect immediately and you will be charged the difference on a pro-rated basis. You may downgrade your plan; the downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Downgrading does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.
PRICE CHANGES: Deets reserves the right to change subscription prices. For existing subscribers, price changes will take effect at the next renewal date after 30 days' advance written notice by email. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the renewal date.
PROMOTIONAL OFFERS AND TRIALS: Any free trial, promotional pricing, or introductory offer is subject to the specific terms of that offer. At the end of a trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled. Promotional pricing applies only for the stated promotional period.
Subscription fees paid on our website are processed by Razorpay Payments Private Limited. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by the relevant Store and are governed by Clause 28 and that Store's billing and refund policies. Deets does not store your complete payment details. Applicable GST will be charged on subscription fees billed by Deets at the prevailing rate.
11. Refund Policy
PURCHASE CHANNEL: This Refund Policy applies to purchases billed by Deets through our website (via Razorpay). Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by the relevant Store, and any refund or cancellation for such purchases is governed by that Store's policies and must be requested through that Store (see Clause 28).
SUBSCRIPTION REFUNDS: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started. For annual subscriptions, a pro-rated refund may be issued at Deets' discretion if requested within 7 days of the initial purchase (not applicable to renewals). Refund requests must be submitted to support@deets.in with your account email and transaction reference.
CREDIT PURCHASE REFUNDS: Purchased credits are non-refundable once credited to your account, except where: (a) the payment was processed in error due to a technical failure on Deets' or Razorpay's systems; (b) credits were not credited to your account after payment was deducted (resolve within 7 business days of raising a complaint). We do not issue refunds for credits that have been used.
TECHNICAL FAILURE REFUNDS: If a payment is debited but no service or credits are provisioned due to a technical failure on Deets' systems, Deets will refund the amount in full within 7 business days of confirmation of the failure.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS: The following are explicitly non-refundable: used credits; subscription fees for a current billing period after the 7-day initial purchase window; bonus or promotional credits; credits obtained through referrals.
FAILED TRANSACTIONS: Deets is not responsible for failed transactions resulting from incorrect payment information, bank declines, or network failures outside Deets' control. For disputed transactions, contact support@deets.in with your transaction reference number.
REFUND PROCESSING: Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
CONSUMER RIGHTS: Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or other applicable mandatory law.
12. PDF Exports and Downloaded Content
The Platform allows you to export study materials, notes, AI-generated answers, revision notes, and other content as PDF documents ("Exported PDFs"). The following terms apply to all Exported PDFs.
PERMITTED USE: Exported PDFs are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial educational use only. You may print and retain them for your own study purposes.
PROHIBITED USE: You must NOT: (a) resell, distribute, or commercially exploit Exported PDFs or their contents; (b) reproduce or publish Exported PDFs for any commercial purpose; (c) share Exported PDFs publicly on social media, YouTube, paid groups, coaching channels, or any similar platform; (d) remove or obscure any Deets watermarks, branding, QR codes, or disclaimers from Exported PDFs.
WATERMARKING AND BRANDING: Exported PDFs will contain Deets branding, watermarks, and/or QR codes. These marks serve as attribution and anti-piracy measures. Removing or altering these marks constitutes a breach of these Terms.
AI DISCLAIMER IN EXPORTS: All Exported PDFs containing AI-generated content will include a disclaimer stating that the content is AI-generated, may contain inaccuracies, and should be verified independently. This disclaimer is a material term of use and cannot be removed.
CONTENT ACCURACY: Deets makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or currency of content in Exported PDFs. The AI disclaimer in Clause 2 applies in full to all exported content.
RETENTION: Downloaded PDFs are stored locally on your device. Deets does not guarantee continued access to the same generated content through the Platform after it has been exported.
13. Bookmarks, User Notes, and Knowledge Vault
The Platform provides features for saving bookmarks, writing personal notes ("User Notes"), and building a personal Knowledge Vault of saved questions, answers, and study materials. The following terms apply to these features.
OWNERSHIP: You own the original content of User Notes that you write yourself. You grant Deets a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your User Notes and Knowledge Vault content for the purpose of providing you with the service.
PLATFORM LICENCE: User Notes and bookmarks are stored on Deets' infrastructure. By using these features, you acknowledge that Deets may access this content to the extent necessary to: provide technical support; comply with legal obligations; and investigate abuse.
DEETS DOES NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP over your personal notes. However, Deets' platform features — including how notes are structured, stored, and presented — remain Deets' intellectual property.
DATA RETENTION: User Notes and Knowledge Vault content are retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, your notes and vault content will be deleted within 30 days of account closure (see Privacy Policy for full data deletion terms).
NO BACKUP GUARANTEE: Deets implements reasonable backup procedures but does not guarantee against data loss. You are advised to maintain your own copies of important study notes. Deets is not liable for loss of User Notes or Knowledge Vault content.
CONTENT LIMITS: Deets reserves the right to impose storage limits on User Notes and Knowledge Vault content per account tier.
14. OCR and Document Processing
The Platform offers OCR (Optical Character Recognition) based document processing to extract questions and text from uploaded PDF documents, images, and scanned documents.
OCR ACCURACY: OCR technology is not perfect. Recognised text may contain errors including: incorrect character recognition, misread numbers, garbled Hindi/Devanagari script, formatting issues, and incomplete extraction. You acknowledge that OCR outputs must be reviewed and corrected before relying on extracted content.
UPLOADED DOCUMENTS: When you upload a PDF or image for OCR processing: (a) you represent that you have the right to upload the document; (b) you grant Deets a temporary licence to process the document for the purpose of OCR extraction; (c) Deets will not use your uploaded documents to train AI models without your explicit consent; (d) uploaded documents are processed and then deleted from our systems within 30 days unless otherwise stored as part of your Question Bank.
PROHIBITED UPLOADS: You must not upload documents that contain: copyrighted material that you do not have the right to reproduce; personal data of third parties without their consent; illegal, obscene, or prohibited content. Deets reserves the right to refuse to process or to delete any uploaded document.
LANGUAGE PROCESSING: The Platform supports both Hindi (Devanagari script) and English. OCR accuracy may vary between languages. Hindi-English bilingual documents may require manual correction after OCR extraction.
QUESTION BANK GENERATION: Questions extracted via OCR and stored in your personal Question Bank remain your personal study content. Classification, tagging, and metadata applied by Deets' AI are automated and may contain errors.
15. Referral System
Deets may operate a referral programme that allows you to invite others to join the Platform and earn rewards ("Referral Rewards"). The current terms of the referral programme are displayed within the Platform.
ELIGIBILITY: To earn Referral Rewards, you must: (a) have an active, verified account; (b) share your unique referral code or link; (c) the referred user must complete the qualifying action specified in the referral programme terms (typically registering and subscribing).
REWARD LIMITATIONS: Referral Rewards are credited as bonus credits or discounts as specified in the referral programme. Rewards have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Deets reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral programme at any time. Deets reserves the right to cancel Referral Rewards if it reasonably determines that fraud, abuse, or manipulation has occurred.
PROHIBITED REFERRAL CONDUCT: You must not: (a) create multiple accounts to self-refer; (b) use automated scripts or bots to generate referrals; (c) misrepresent Deets or make false claims to induce referrals; (d) purchase or sell referral codes; (e) engage in any other fraudulent referral activity. Violation of these rules may result in forfeiture of all referral rewards and account termination.
REFERRAL FRAUD: Deets uses automated and manual fraud detection systems. If a referral is determined to be fraudulent after rewards have been credited, Deets reserves the right to reverse the rewards and take appropriate action including account suspension.
16. Intellectual Property
DEETS' INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All intellectual property rights in the Platform — including software, application code, design, user interface, trademarks, logos, domain names, databases, editorial content, AI model outputs, generated study packages, mind maps, revision notes, PYQ analyses, and all other Platform content created by Deets — vest exclusively in Deets Technologies Private Limited. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property right to you.
AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS: Content generated by Deets AI (including answers, summaries, mind maps, revision notes, and study materials) is owned by Deets Technologies Private Limited. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use AI-generated content for your own study purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit AI-generated content.
USER CONTENT: You own your personal User Notes, bookmarks, and other content you independently create. You grant Deets a limited licence to host and process your content as described in these Terms.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT: NCERT textbook content, news articles, official examination questions, and other third-party content referenced or analysed on the Platform remain the property of their respective owners. Deets does not claim ownership over such content.
LICENCE RESTRICTIONS: Your licence to use the Platform does not permit: (a) copying, scraping, or systematically downloading Platform content; (b) reverse engineering any Platform software; (c) using Platform content to train competing AI models; (d) removing copyright or proprietary notices; (e) using Deets' trademarks or branding without written permission.
COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS: If you believe any Platform content infringes your copyright, please contact legal@deets.in with: identification of the allegedly infringing material; identification of the original work; your contact information; and a statement of good-faith belief of infringement.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE INDIAN LAW, DEETS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, DEETS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (a) the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times; (b) AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose including examination preparation; (c) any PYQ answers, study materials, revision notes, or generated content will improve your examination performance or result in selection; (d) Deets Pulse summaries accurately reflect source news content; (e) OCR extraction will be error-free; (f) the Platform is free of viruses or other harmful components.

IN NO EVENT SHALL DEETS BE LIABLE FOR: (a) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; (b) loss of data, study materials, or content stored on the Platform; (c) reliance on AI-generated content that proves inaccurate; (d) examination failures, poor marks, or failure to qualify for selection; (e) career decisions made based on Platform content; (f) loss of time, opportunity, or any academic outcome; (g) technical failures, platform downtime, or service interruptions; (h) inaccuracies in OCR extraction; (i) inaccuracies in Deets Pulse news summaries; (j) acts or omissions of third-party service providers including payment processors; (k) loss or expiry of unused credits.
Nothing in this clause shall limit Deets' liability for: (a) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (b) death or personal injury caused by Deets' negligence; (c) any liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 or other mandatory applicable law.
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT DEETS IS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL ONLY. EXAMINATION OUTCOMES, SELECTION RESULTS, AND CAREER OUTCOMES ARE ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND ARE INFLUENCED BY FACTORS FAR BEYOND THE PLATFORM'S CONTENT OR FUNCTIONALITY.
19. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Platform to:
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Analytics data used for personalisation includes: questions answered, topics studied, time spent on subjects, PYQ performance, search queries, bookmarked content, and study package usage.

On termination: (a) your licence to use the Platform ends immediately; (b) you must delete any downloaded Platform content used in breach of these Terms; (c) unused credits are forfeited; (d) all accrued rights and liabilities up to the date of termination are preserved; (e) Clauses 2, 3, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25 survive termination.
23. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising from these Terms or the Platform shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. Either party may initiate negotiation by written notice, and the parties shall attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of such notice.
If negotiation fails, disputes shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 (as amended), seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, before a sole arbitrator, conducted in English.
Consumer disputes brought by individual users under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 are not subject to the arbitration clause and may be brought before the appropriate Consumer Forum.
24. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deets, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Platform in breach of these Terms; content you upload to the Platform; your violation of any third party's intellectual property or other rights; your violation of applicable law; or misuse of the credit system or referral programme.

FORCE MAJEURE: Neither party is liable for failures resulting from causes beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, government action, internet infrastructure failures, or Google Firebase/Cloud Platform outages.

27. NEET-UG Preparation Services
Deets offers a distinct set of features for aspirants of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) ("NEET Services"), including timed mock tests with model marking (+4 for a correct answer, −1 for an incorrect answer), automated scoring and analysis, adaptive study plans, spaced-revision tools, a NEET previous-year-questions browser, and an AI study companion. The NEET Services are being rolled out progressively and may not be available to all users at all times.
INDEPENDENCE: The NEET Services are independent educational tools. Deets is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected with the National Testing Agency (NTA), the National Medical Commission (NMC), or any other authority that conducts or regulates NEET-UG. Marks, scores, percentiles, rank predictions, and "potential score" figures shown in mock results are Deets' own estimates produced by automated models from your attempt data and sample reference data; they are indicative only and do NOT predict, guarantee, or represent your actual NEET-UG score, rank, percentile, or admission outcome.
AI AND CONTENT LIMITATIONS: All AI-generated explanations, solutions, study plans, and analyses for the NEET Services are subject to the AI disclaimer in Clause 2. NEET questions, options, and any associated diagrams may contain errors. You must verify all important information against official NCERT textbooks and official NTA/NMC sources before relying on it.
MINORS AND PARENTAL CONSENT: Many NEET-UG aspirants are under 18 years of age. Where you are a minor, you may use the NEET Services only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, who must agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use. We collect a date of birth to determine whether a user is a minor and require parental/guardian consent details before processing a minor's personal data, as described in the Privacy Policy. We are progressively implementing verifiable parental-consent mechanisms in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023; the NEET Services are not offered to minors except through this consent process.
WELLBEING FEATURES (OPT-IN): The NEET Services may offer optional wellbeing check-ins (for example, self-reported mood or fatigue) to help you reflect on your preparation. These features are strictly opt-in and are processed only if you choose to enable them. Any wellbeing or crisis-support content (including helpline information) is provided for general informational and supportive purposes only and is NOT medical, psychological, diagnostic, or clinical advice, and is NOT a substitute for professional help. If you are in distress or in an emergency, contact a qualified professional or an official helpline immediately.
NO OUTCOME GUARANTEE: Deets does not guarantee any NEET-UG score, rank, qualification, counselling result, or admission to any medical or dental college. Academic outcomes depend on your own effort, preparation, and many factors beyond the Platform's control.
28. Mobile Applications and App Stores
Deets is available as iOS and Android mobile applications in addition to the website. Your use of the mobile applications is subject to these Terms and, additionally, to the applicable terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play (each, a "Store") from which you obtained the application.
SIGN-IN PROVIDERS: You may create or access your account using third-party sign-in providers, including Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple. When you do so, the provider shares limited identity information (such as your name and email address, or a private relay email in the case of Apple) with Deets to create and secure your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
STORE BILLING AND REFUNDS: If you purchase a subscription or credits through a Store's in-app purchase system, that transaction is processed and billed by the Store, and any refund, cancellation, or billing dispute for such a purchase is governed by that Store's policies and must be requested through the Store, not through Deets or Razorpay. Purchases made on our website are processed by Razorpay and are governed by the Subscription and Refund provisions of these Terms (Clauses 10 and 11). Auto-renewal of a Store-billed subscription is managed through your Store account settings.
DEVICE PERMISSIONS: The mobile applications may request device permissions such as camera/photo access (for capturing or uploading questions and documents) and notification permission (for push notifications). These permissions are optional, are used only for the stated purposes, and can be changed at any time in your device settings.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS: With your permission, we may send push notifications (for example, study reminders, streak nudges, and important account or service updates). You can disable push notifications at any time from your device or app settings.
APP UPDATES: We may release updates to the mobile applications. Some updates may be required to continue using the Platform. The Stores, and not Deets, are responsible for the distribution of the applications.
